The annual VeeamON Forum Middle East with the theme ‘Experience Availability’ was hosted on 15th November, 2017 at Rajmahal Theatre, Dubai Parks and Resorts. The event was designed to connect IT experts and visionaries throughout the region to share and learn how to ensure Availability for the Always-ON Enterprise and deliver a seamless Digital Life Experience.
Senior Veeam Executives presented keynote sessions exploring the ‘Digital Future’ – how user demands, driven by digital transformation, are changing daily with users wanting a seamless digital experience and 24.7.365 access to data and applications. Other key sessions included – Cloud Re-writes the Rules – A view on where the Cloud is evolving, Veeam’s critical role in today’s multi-cloud environment ; Voice of the customer – A panel discussion featuring Veeam customers; A technical deep dive into the latest version of Veeam Availability Suite v10 that drives non-stop business continuity, digital transformation agility and analytics & visibility to new levels.
The VeeamON Forum featured Veeam use cases and scenarios addressing critical pain points, real-world strategies and solutions, technology and business sessions. The event provided an opportunity for direct networking with Veeam and its partners, including sponsors NetApp, ExaGrid, Nutanix and Quantum.
At the event, the company revealed immediate availability of its latest product, Veeam Availability Console, a free management console for service providers delivering Veeam-powered services, such as Backup as a Service (BaaS) and Disaster Recovery as a service (DRaaS), to more efficiently manage, track and invoice for these services. In addition, the Veeam console expands opportunities for resellers and new managed service providers (MSPs) looking to launch a managed backup service business to capture new revenue streams. Veeam Availability Console can also be used by distributed enterprises operating in an IT service delivery model and wanting to offer efficient, centrally managed backup, data protection and disaster recovery services across a distributed multi-cloud environment including on-premises or private cloud, public cloud, remote and branch offices (ROBO), as well as mobile or home workforces.
With 267,500 customers, Veeam continues to average 4,000 new cusomters per month. Q3 2017 marked Veeam’s 37th straight quarter of double digit growth and major market share gains from legacy backup providers. The ompany has closed more +$500K deals in 2017 than in the history of the company combined. Veeam also closed its largest enterprise deal in company history in Q3 2017.
The company has expanded in the Middle East by opening a new office in the Tower 1 of Business Central Towers which doubles the square footage from its previous office. Further expansion and additional new staff are planned during 2018 to help fuel enterprise business growth.
